We’ve established the following policies to ensure a rewarding experience when shopping at High Falls Mercantile.

PRIVACY

Our privacy policy is simple: High Falls Mercantile will never sell or share your personal information.

SHIPPING

In stock items ship within 48 hours.  On occasion, demand exceeds our expectations.  You'll receive updates on the status of any backorders if there are any significant delays so that you may consider other options.  As with all orders, your credit card will not be charged until your item(s) ship.

Our preferred shipping partner is UPS though we reserve the right to ship via USPS.

Standard shipping fees to the lower 48 states are as follows, based on your order total before tax:

Up to $50.00 - $12.75

$50.01- $150.00 - $18.00

$150.01- $500.00 - $26.00

Over $500.00 – 10% of total

Please contact us for delivery to other areas or for overnight/express options.

Furniture and items too large or heavy to be carried by UPS or USPS will be shipped by common carrier, with freight charges to be approved by the customer before order processing.

ONE OF A KIND ITEMS

Our vast selection of one-of-a-kind merchandise is what sets us apart from many other home furnishings stores.  On rare occasion, however, one of our unique pieces will sell in the store before it's removed from the site.  In such a case we will let you know as soon as we are able so that you may consider other options.  As with all orders, your credit card is never charged until an item is shipped.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Our goal at High Falls Mercantile is to have happy customers.  If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, please email us. Include your order # and list the item(s) you’d like to return. We will issue a return authorization # which must be included on or in your return package.

Returns are accepted subject to the following conditions:

Items returned within 14 days of receipt qualify for a full refund.  Shipping costs are non-refundable and return shipping charges are at the customer’s expense.  It is recommended that all returns be insured for their full value as we cannot be responsible for returns lost in transit. 

Items returned after 14 days will qualify for a store credit.

All returned items must be in original condition, unused, unlaundered and in original packaging. 

If you receive an item that is damaged please contact us immediately.  All damages must be reported within 48 hours of receiving your order.  

GIFT WRAPPING

We will be glad to gift wrap most items in our signature kraft wrapping paper and grosgrain ribbon for free.  Unfortunately, furniture and certain large items cannot be gift wrapped.

SALES TAX

We are required to collect sales tax on all purchases shipped within New York State.

GIFT CARDS

We’re pleased to offer the High Falls Mercantile (HFM) Gift Card in any denomination.  HFM Gift Cards may be used at HighFallsMercantile.com or in our High Falls, NY store.  HFM Gift Cards are not returnable or refundable, nor can they be redeemed for cash.  HFM Gift Cards have no expiration date, inactivity fees or hidden fees of any kind.  If the amount of the HFM Gift Card exceeds the amount of a purchase, the purchase amount will be deducted from the HFM Gift Card and the unused balance on the HFM Gift Card may be used at a later date.  High Falls Mercantile is not responsible for lost, stolen, or destroyed HFM Gift Cards.

TRADE

Our relationships with the trade, and the ideas and conversations they inspire, are important to us at High Falls Mercantile.  If you are a designer, decorator, architect or other trade professional, and would like to establish a trade relationship, please email us.

COLOR

We have made every effort to accurately display the colors of our products that appear on the website. Due to monitor discrepancies, we cannot guarantee that your display of color is the actual color of the items shown.
